Our Story
Frontside Clothing is an independent, community focused skate shop based in the heart of Lyme Regis. Established in 2020 by friends Josh Caesar and Keian Gillett. The idea was to bring together classic skate styles and hardware with modern streetwear fashion and become known as a street/lifestyle brand.
We at Frontside Clothing strive to bring the core skate brands from the UK and beyond, from small skater backed brands like Death skateboards (the longest running UK skate brand) and Lovenskate (UK based clothing and hardware label), to global fashion icons such as Vans and Brixton Clothing. We not only focus on choosing popular brands but also brands that we loved and supported back in the day. We endeavour to promote sustainable and local brands where possible and strive to support our local economy as much as we can.
We aim to bring the skate communities within the South West of England together through events and skate jams, and our dream is to create our own Frontside-backed skate team, sponsoring local shredders and up and coming groms by providing boards, apparel and funding as much as we can.
This idea could not have been realised without local support, friends, family and businesses who have helped us pursue this ambition. We hope you enjoy it as much a we do.
Introducing The Team
Frontside Clothing's Growing Skate Team
Ollie Loukes
I’m Ollie Loukes and I’m 13, from Axminster, Devon. I got started skating around 1-2 years ago, at the time I wasn’t too interested in learning new tricks, but the more I skated, the more I learnt and enjoyed it! My local park is Lyme Regis and I skate there daily. I ride mostly Lovenskate and Girl Skateboard decks with mellow concaves!
Durwin Smith
I'm Durwin Smith, most the time you can find me at the Lyme Regis skatepark shredding it up. I've only been skating for 1 year now and am stoked to be part of my local shop's skate team. Alltimers are my go to choice in deck, catch me in the park every day of the week!
Matt
My name is Matthew, I am 13 years old and started skating to get outside and do something more active. Currently my favourite decks are Zero Skateboards. Ususally I skate a 8.25". I'm often at Seaton, Axminster or Lyme Regis parks airing the spine.
