Alien Workshop
Alien Workshop (AWS) was founded in 1990 in Dayton Ohio by Chris Carter, Mike Hill and Neil Blender. Despite a tumultuous ownership history, Alien Workshop are once more an independent skateboarding company focusing on skateboard decks and complete skateboards.
The Alien Workshop Skateboarding team has featured many great riders as part of their 'Sovereign Sect'. The first team rider, Rob Dyrdek, was part of the Alien Workshop team for many years, even owning the company for a time. Jason Dill was an Alien team rider for 15 years and went on to set up his own skate co. Other great riders that have been part of the team include Gilbert Crockett, Mikey Taylor, Joey O'Brien, and Jake Johnson.
Since their first video 'memory screen' was released in 1990, Alien workshop skate videos have been a big part of the brand. Check out the Alien Workshop Mind Field video featuring Jake Johnson. And the new young team of riders, who are set for big things.
Alien Workshop Decks and Completes
Alien workshop believes in the thrill of skateboarding and the camaraderie of like-minded individuals. Their professional quality complete boards come with high-quality trucks, 53mm 99a wheels, Abec 7 shielded bearings and grip tape. They are ready to ride straight out of your local skate store.
The Alien Workshop Spectrum, Alien Workshop Abduction or Alien workshop Matrix complete boards are all excellent choices for new and experienced skaters.
Choosing your Board
A board such as the Alien Workshop Abduction complete is a versatile board suitable for street, park, ramp and bowl skating. But, if you want a more customised set-up, choose one of the Alien Workshop AWS skateboard decks and combine it with your choice of skateboard wheel, truck and other hardware. Bones wheels and independent trucks offer a great set up and you can add riser pads if needed depending on your skating style.
The Alien Workshop Spectrum Deck is a classic or you could opt for something a little different like the Dinosaur Junior Deck.
And if the Alien designs don’t take your fancy, sister company Habitat Skateboards also makes some high-quality decks and completes that are light, durable and perfect for all levels.
Although their main focus is the Alien Workshop decks, the company also designs skate clothing and skateboard accessories. As well as their own skateboard trucks and wheels that they combine with the AWS skate decks when creating their ready to ride completes.
